Uhh

Atleast tell use how the connection was, rather than rating everything based on them shutting the service down.

That cinches it for me.

After reading this review I'm staying away from Sprint ION. They must be REALLY bad.

Re: That cinches it for me.

Sprint ion did shut down a long time ago. my father worked on the ion project, and was subsequently layed off. I know that was one of the best services available, because, it was the only service out there that did what it did at the time (digital phone, fax, and internet). I only wish they offered it again. (stupid sprint cutbacks!!!)

To sum it up, they haven't existed in over a year, so you need not worry about staying away from them!

Sprint ROCKS

Well .... Sprint is a very good ISP but lemme tell you that it's not sprints falt .... hey Earthlink and Sprint split .... come ' on that's life .. also ... when i got sprint Highspeed internet "dsl" i had no clue on how to hook it up or anything.. so i called sprint for help ... in 2 mins i was up and running ... then i got a router ... ok in sprints terms they are not allowed to help with routers unless you buy the router from them ... well guess what i didn't buy the router form them and the still help me config my router and it didn't take 4 mins .... tell you the turth ... if i was rating sprint 1 out of 10 .... i give them 10 for the service and a 100 for the help ... i love sprint ... there awsome

SprintION is gone.

The ION product itself is gone and has been replaced by other offerings. My line stayed up 6 months longer than I was told and the day it went down I cried. I had the 4 digital phone lines and 8MBps SDSL for 9 months. Flipping Fantastic!!!! The best service I ever had. No connection problems. Five calls, at the most, to tech support with basic questions. They were always calling me to see how I was doing, which was great. This was until the Feds let Sprint pull the product because it was easier to quit than to fight for their legal rights to access which the Feds were not backing up. They'll be back with a similar but more expensive, less speedy product.

Now we are left with BS speeds and ADSL connections at huge prices. We may never see a legitimate product ever again for what is advertised as "High Speed" which is barely faster than dialup. I can't get a stable 1.5MBps ADSL connection over the same ION lines to save my life and I'm 3381 feet from the CO. I am told that the service is best effort. Well at 3381 feet, they're (Covad) not trying real hard. Speakeasy says that they can give me 3mb/786k using the CLEC that I have now and my current CLEC/ISP can't. Hmmmmm?
