The $64 residential service is PPPoE junk tho. would i want to give up 1300 to 2000kbps to PPPoE overhead? no. id buy the business plan. pppo* should stay where it was designed for. DIALUP!

Re: $150 a month?

Yeah, there is a little overhead with PPPoE. Both residential and business plans are setup this way. They do it mostly for security purposes to keep unauthorized users off the network. The towers are fast enough that you really don't notice the overhead of PPPoE. My tower has a T1 temporarily, and I see speeds around 1300. Even without PPPoE that speed is good for a T1 connect, and it should be increasing when the tower is given a T3 or better connection. I have the 10 mbit gear on my roof, so all they have to do is flick the switch for more bandwidth

Sweet

Sounds great. Wish I was able to get that here in California, but all I can get is expensive and slow SBC DSL. Sucks! I live in a residential area that is very recently built. Only about 3 years old, so that is the reason why there are no big companies other than SBC in the area.

is it DLS?

Does Antioch wireless resell from DLS too? I was gonna get wireless service from Excalibur, I found out they resell DLS' wireless, so I went directly to DLS. Nothing wrong with reselling, same prices, I figured I would just cut out the middle man for support and all that. Are your speeds pretty consistent? I average about 900kbps, up and down, I would never get that through Cable or DSL, I love it.

Re: is it DLS?

He does resell DLS. I have a DLS email as well, and call them for support. Its great to get reduced prices for the same product. I enjoy my speeds, and more recently they've been all over the charts. In reality, the T1 to the Lake Villa tower is only a temporary solution. DLS will be putting more bandwidth to it within the month, and I should see my speeds become much more consistent. The reason I said 1300+/1300+ is that 1300 is really my minimum speed test, and it'll vary all the way up to 1450.
