| No love for the BroadM@x! I'm not sure why people hate the broadmax modem so much. Yes, it's small, but it's given me wonderful service over the last year. It in my garage near my NID, so the heat apparently isn't a problem for it. It's also giving me excellent results with their new 6000/608 service, consistent tests of 5100+/518. The little guy works great without taking up a lot of space! I haven't needed to restart it once in a full year.
Compared to my old breifcase-sized DirecTV DSL modem, the tiny Broadmax is a nice change!
I cannot, however, vouch for the quality of its built in firewall and PPPoE. I've always used it with static IP.
