bellsouth rocks

i have had bellsouth for over a year now and have not had one single problem! im in monroe,la and i have been thru the cable route and wont go back,it would go down all the time and between 7pm and 11pm the service would be slow and bellsouth ping times avg 87ms where cable was 350ms! my speed on dsl has remained the same and never has changed! i would rather pay a little more for good service than pay less for crappy service! bellsouth rocks! keep up the good work BS!

I had cable once and I kept trying to play online games, let me tell you.....it SUCKED...because I shared my speed with other users in my neighborhood. My pings would be high and I would lag. I switched to Bellsouth and my speeds stay a consistant 1300 down and 220 up (my max is 1500/256). My wife will tell you she hates me on the computer b/c I play Halo online everynight for at least an hour. Thats how much I love my BS DSL!! I will keep mine and I await the higher bandwith and lower regional prices.

Update review 5/10/07

Still paying 34.95/month for 1.5/256. The connection has been good, with only one incident. My wife had to call since I was still at work. My wife had to deal with a friendly woman (from the Phillipines she thinks) for about 2 hours total to get it resolved. In the end, she realized that our equipment wasn't at fault, and that it was due to 'scheduled maintenance' at 3pm on a weekday afternoon. Right.

The other complaint I have is about getting fiber. A man came through the subdivision during the Summer of 2005 (I think), and said they were scouting the area to put the equipment. I haven't seen any activity yet.
