Since you are only 1000 ft from CO you should be able to get great speeds via dsl.
The tech installed a direct line. Went to the jack I wanted to use and wired it up. As far as speeds, I was hoping it would be a lot better. Currently running around 202/196 (upload is supposed to be 128!) I probably am less than 1000 feet from CO. You could easily hit a golf ball from the back door of my apartment and hit the CO building, but who knows, the loop may go out to the edge of town and come back.  I can get 1.5, but costs almost $90!!!
Cox Communications is going to give them some competition in the coming months when they upgrade the cable system to digital and add HSI (according to the rep I talked to in FS). A lot of new cable already been string up, just waiting for finishing touches. |
