Re: speed?

Click on Aristotle DSL and choose your line speed, if the price looks high; it's because you get the "Works" -Service & consistent bandwidth. It's not for everyone looking to save a dollar, but as mentioned in another post--I see many 'Experts' {Who actually do this stuff for a living) taking the cheapest hardware & bandwidth route & scream that they don't get results!

Again, most semi/literate users spend most of their computer time on the net, but don't cough up for a decent ISP.

-Well. I'm not driving a Yugo & I'm not a certified mechanic..But, I do use the net & IT, so I take the Corvette route. Because I use the net 99% of the time I'm logged on and I'm into IT, hardware & bandwidth are matched. Hope you can find an Aristotle near you; if you can, then the need for speed & service will be unmatched.

Cheers

Not what I got.

All I got from Aristotle was a 256K/197K out of a 384K/384K SDSL connection, they are twice as high as SBC and are only resellers for SBC.

When I asked what the problem was all they could tell me was that all their DSL circuits are on T1s and that they have been waiting for seven months for SBC to put them on DS3 connections.

We left them in the dust and moved to a fractional T1 with five lines, 1250 Long distance minutes and 768K dedicated inet for only two dollars more a month than we paid for the same fives lines with no long distance included and crappy SDSL.

Kidding, right!

Aristotle has NOTHING to do with SBC (aside from using 'Their phone lines'), they ARE on DS3!

Crappy, or is it that 'Someone' does not know how to configure their Router, perhaps!

Try Comcast or Yahoo & then come back & complain, cheap yes !That's exactly what you will get! Anyone understand the neighbour hood network thing? (Comcast), or SPAM (Yahoo)?

I'm leaving both the afore mentioned in the dust on upload & download; and no BS between the lines of sharing my line or having to read unwanted email/come Pop-ups!

Cheers

thats expensive.

I get 3300/256 with comcast cable. Pings are not that bad, usually around 40-60.

Re: thats expensive.

Get what you pay for, had cable & pings are very fluid -Depending on how many people are using your neighbourhood line.

Lets see if you get the same level of support, neither do I get "You have reached your maximum" messages either...

3 steady systems, comcast won't allow that either!

Each to their own, but I'm more than happy with Aristotle as an ISP.

Cheers
