What changed ?

Edit a little. That's a fine install horror story, but can't you cut a few words out if your gonna be updating every couple of weeks?Get over it.

Re: What changed ?

I have Road Runner in Corpus Christi. I have gotten my full speeds as advertised most of the time. Except when I first got it. They said something about combining routers or something like that. After about 6 or 7 months of getting the service things went much faster. I download at top speeds of 240 kb/sec and upload at 44 kb/sec. And if my problem isnt resolved I will just keep calling in being as anoying as possible until the problem is fixed. Like my most recent problem. If I were you I would keep b****ing until I got the advertised speeds. Yell and holler if you have to. ^_^

RR Installer Reply

First things first.. Just to let you all know most of the older cable installers and service techs are not have computer knowledge. RR internet is fairly new, several years. They still have a lot of things to work out.. Such as training.. and Computer training isnt easy with veteran cable installers/service techs that have never messed with a computer in their life. So usually the younger guys will have the computer knowledge. As far as speeds remember most of the times you will see that the your system has alot to do with the download/upload speeds. A tweaked system and clean system will have the best download/upload speeds. A computer with alot of junk, spyware, adware, many programs running the in background that slows that total system down will have lesser speeds.

As far as the installers/contractors/svc techs of course youll come across a bad installer or such. It all on the person that works for them. All large companies have bad employees. But I assure you there are alot of good employees too..

Peace!
