Are you sure you are receiving 5mbit/s? I heard that they are going to offer this on October 15th.

QoS max upstream bandwidth = 800000 bps
QoS max downstream bandwidth = 3800000 bps

So i guess i will have to wait until the 15th of october when they start it.

 Try unpluggimg your modem for one minute and plug it back in to reset it. You should see increased speeds. I read the press release saying they were boosting speeds up to 3m on the 15th last week and tried it out of curiosty and came here to test my speeds and I had 2750 download and 1720 upload.

10/15/07 RCN has gotten immensely better

The connections are more stable and reliable, and I only pay aroud $115 a month, with a $3 cable modem rental credit since I own the modem.

I have 7000/800 and it's been pretty good.

Keep up the good work.
