Tweak it!!

Use the tweak tools provided here to maximize your d/l speeds. Verizon actually over-provisions their lines, so you should reach the advertised speeds. I also have the verizon 1500/128 package, but I consistently test out at 1551/194.

Well these speeds are post tweak...cant seem to break 1500, also my upload never quite breaks 100...I dont do any uploading anyway so Im not too worried about it. Maybe the fact that my computer isnt so hot is the problem?

Upgrade time, friend; You're WAY overdue!!

Verizon DSL rocks allright, but I must ask: Can you get Mid-Hudson Online cable internet where you are? Do you know anyone else who has it? I used to live across the river from you in Greenport, just curious.

Im in the process man...but it runs nice for now.

We have mid-hudson cable here but its only 768Kbps down

And its $50, so I went verizon

Heres an update, im now on a nice fast modern system (P4 2.8GHz, 512MB PC3200 etc...) and I now regularly test at 1513/136

Greene County DSL?

I was unable to find DSL service for Lexington in Greene. It's nice to know Verizon is getting a move on it with this area.
