It's almost time neighbor

I just ditched my 144x144 IDSL from Megapath in favor of Comcast HSI. I am also a gamer and was after a stable connect with low pings. Same as you I usually saw 100ms and a first hop in the 70s. My new connect is dissapointing with bad packet loss and low speeds, but better pings. I was told by the installer that right now the signal is being microwaved to Oroville and that as soon as the headend in Chico is complete (mid July) the following will happen: all fiber from local router, 3Mb speed, 2 less hops. For now though the last 2 hops to me are loosing packets (as much as 10%), the speeds rarely reach 1.5Mb and typically are under 300k down..
