i've had them send techs out numerous times. last one ended up leaving his test modem with another accounts username and password in it. he also tried to convince me that "ppp" meant that our username and password were accepted...
buy a couple of t1's out here and you could make a fourtune providing a service that actually works!
past day the dsl synchs in and out of connection every 2 or 3 minutes. and the pos router is taking up to five minutes just to let me into its internal HTTPD.
i'm making one last try with them tomorrow. if i don't have a working connection within 3 days, i'm calling the BBB. i know other people have.

| Update! Put this review up to 5 stars 
In the past few monthes, the DSL service has become spectacular. They even set up a damn fine nntp server, good enough that I cancelled my third party usenet accounts. The speeds were top notch, and network outages have been a thing of the past.
Now if my idiot roommate hadn't downgraded us to 1mpbs because he still hasn't figured out how to divide by eight for the past 2 years... Well, I'd be much happier. But thats not YWaves fault | |

For the past two weeks, the connection has been utter junk. I won't bother posting ip's or urls, but between ywave and whoever they're leasing their internet access from (backbone?) has been shoddy to say the least. Constantly losing connection, when it is connected the pings are 250-500+, and their tech support argues with me, trying to get me to power cycle the router and other such things.
Comcast needs to move into the area, they could make a killing out here. | |
