I agree, wireless is just as good as any wired ISP, You may have just found a bad one. When run properly, The average user would have no idea they were using wireless. -- »www.wavecrazy.net

| Please educate yourself, I never hear from most of my clients. The system does not go down unless I bring it down, and then I put redundant equipment up so my clients never see it. I also sell Sat systems. Never game on a system that has an air space of miles, you are going to get latency. My cell towers have a radius of no more than 4 miles. Past that point I won't sell the customer Wireless. But I also have about 30 towers. A-lot of my clients have migrated from Cable and DSL to my wireless for the fact that they area getting ping times lower than 30, more like teens. You have had the misfortune of hitting an ISP that has either bitten off more than they can chew, or just does not care. I apologize from the entire wireless and broadband ISP community. By the way, I also sell DSL, ISDN, and dial-up. Find yourself a more rounded ISP. | |

| wireless internet ?? From what i been told and read ( now i could be wrong ) all satellite/ wireless internet is not made for gaming. The reason why the signal is being bounce or directed to your feed, this juts on the logic alone tell me that gaming will be hard to do. Since in most games - lets use FPS (first person shooters) the modem on your connection has to keep track of all players working on the screen including your self, so most games have in a normal enviroment 16-100 players on a screen at one time if the moden has to keep track of everyone and there movements why bouncing the feed from one source to another. This doesnt seem like your optional choice out there. I am not saying gaming wont work but what i am saying wireless feed for gaming ( you have to expect problems ). | |

Once again, there are good and bad ISP's everywhere. Most of the time though, You only hear the negative. When setup properly, wireless will have the same and even sometimes better pings than wired. -- »www.wavecrazy.net

| There are alternatives. You ought to check out www.radioburst.com. I have been using them for almost a year and have found their service to be good.
There have been outages, but they've always been quick to respond to my emails and telephone calls. They have offices on Main Street in Springville.
