No issues here

I haven't had any issues with my Moto box. I too am looking to cancel verizon. My only concern is 911 dialing.

Don't worry about 911...

As long as you completed the 911 registration process and got an e-mail telling you that it was enabled, worry not!

Your calls still get routed to the same operator that handles 911 calls from cell phones. Keep a cool head and know your correct address when they ask for it and you won't suffer. Vonage is great; I sent my telco packing and never looked back!!

I set up my 911 but I've never had to use it (knock on wood). I don't fully trust it so my cell phone is a backup just in case.

The issue with the Motorola adapter she's having is that she need to reset it at least 3 times per day and it overheats. Maybe she got a bad unit. Hopefully they'll send her a good one as a replacement.

TiVO dials up doesn't it? My issues with dialing up went away...
