| Thanks for Telling It Like It Really Is I gave up on Time Warner after repeated attempts to get it installed. I experienced the same BS no-shows from the incompetent techs, including the false claims of "knocking at my door" you outlined. After reading your review, I am going to forget about the idiots at Time Warner/RoadRunner Residential Cable ISP. You were without Internet for 3 weeks?? WTH. Something is seriously wrong with that company.
I'm going to pay the extra $20 per month (total of $65.95 per month) for RELIABLE 1.5mbps Downstream/384kbps Upstream via dedicated SOHO ADSL from Covad. I wish it were at least $39.95 like it was before, but things have apparantly changed with Covad in the Orange County, CA area. They apparently install their own dedicated data-only copper lines to their customers houses now (vs. riding over existing AT&T physical copper pairs). Maybe its something their doing in conjunction with Verizon. This is all speculation. But I'm going to gamble with Covad vs. the idiots at Time Warner Cable. |
