Vonage design, feature list and promise is excellent. However, in practice their very poor and slow customer service makes Vonage a risky proposition. I have had regular problems over the last year and usually spend no less than 40 minutes waiting on hold for service, often to have the problem unresolved. Usually the solution is "try XX and call back". When asked if they could call me back, the answer has been "you must call us and join the queue like all other customers". As a result I have spent most of today making calls to Vonage (on my cell as their service did not work) and waiting at least 40 minutes on hold each time (total 167 minutes on hold so far). My problem is still unresolved (calls initiate OK, good quality two way conversation possible for 30-90 seconds, then the called party loses audio from me, although I can hear them perfectly. Only solution is to re-boot adapter. Next call after reboot works 30-60 seconds, then problems repeats...). |
