The quote from your message sounds like a potential problem and may, in fact, cause you more problems with your internet/cable in the future.
You will be better off in the long run and your internet/cable service will be more reliable.

I ran new cable in the entire house a couple weeks ago, though I never seen any speed increases; the disconnects went away. Plus, I am now able to watch cable on my room, without turning off the cable modem. Not to mention that the cable throughout the entire house now looks more clear.
Though, I dislike Cable One.

I too had BellSouth for three years or so, and went to Cable One when I couldn't get nowhere near 3000 when they upped it...
I love CableOne and I get service like you claimed you got but mine is very consistent, long periods or short periods....It is always in the 300 KBs download and sometimes (for short periods) in the 500-600 KB range. I love their service and their speeds. I too, download linux distros, and many other huge files, and my service with Cable One has never belched yet. | |
