| POTS and 911 Looks like inbound must not be too good as you have kept your POTS. If you kept it for 911 you are paying for what the phone companies are mandated to do FREE and that is to provide 911 on all phone lines, even ones with no service. That is one of the sticking points with VOIP "Softphone". Legislators want Softphone to show a physical address regardless of where they are which is insane but nobody ever said you had to be bright to run for office!
