| Bellsouth DSL I am not at all pleased with BellSouth support. I recently wanted to upgrade my DSL modem with one that incorporated the modem, 4-port router and wireless connections. In researching the DSL configuration for this device, it seemed to offer control over just about every parameter required to make a connection. While I did not expect brand specific assistance, I did expect some assistance with what the parameters sohuld be... at least some of the most basic such as VPI/VCI, mode settings, and QoS. I would think ANYONE dealing with a vendor specific DSL service would know these. I received absolutely NO useful information with the chat session I had. Fortunately for this forum, I was able to get the connection operational. Currently searching for a more technically friendly service. Cost is secondary. |
