RE Actiontec & Interleave

Is the Actiontec modem (GT701-WG) so bad? Of course I was told that it was the newest available; at least with Cox, you have a couple of options to choose from. Did someone mention interleaving--are we talking software or firmware? Is this an aspect of Qwest's service revamp? For a while, about six weeks ago, our 1568 down slipped to about 750, which was determined by one tech to be the fault of the previous tech during setup at the network interface. However, in May/June we got about 1270, which with TCP/IP overhead was deemed about right. Back up now after the tech visit. Most field techs from Qwest seem adept and willing to do their share.
