Say what????

No other ISP's in the area???? What do you call ADSL?
If you hate DCCNET so much change to ADSL and see what it's
like to have less than half the speed and outages that can
last a LONG time.

Re: Say what????

There is no DSL available in most of North Delta, those who can get it are lucky....cause DCCNET has the slowest service. Can't even play Xbox live on it.

Re: Say what????

What are you talking about??? Telus has D-Slam (Stinger) boxes
all the way up 112th! I have a buddy at 118th and 96th with
ADSL and it's the Office highspeed ADSL to boot!

What are you, crazy?

I don't know what you're talking about.

Everyone I know who has DCCNet loves it. The only legitimate issue is the download limits, but that's a minor issue. 10 gigs is still a lot.

And almost every area in North Delta has Telus ADSL as an alternative, so I have no idea what you're talking about in that respect.

Having the head office in the same town as you is also a definite advantage. With Shaw and Telus, they can give you the runaround for months if they wanted to. With DCCNet, you could walk right down to the office and talk to the president of the company if you want to.

Perhaps it was a problem with your computer that caused the slowdowns. Too much spyware?

Re: What are you, crazy?

Don't think so...everyone I have talked to in north delta hates it. It is a joke as a highspeed connection. Those who can get dsl laugh at the dccnet speeds and bandwidth limits!!

DSL sux

@shawcable.net

Your nuts Man !!!

I am in Tilbury and forced to use DSL. What a piece of crap. Rarely does a day go by without an outage and speeds are brutally slow. If you think DSL is better than cable then give it a try, but I warn you keep the cable modem for at least the first couple of months because you will be wanting it back.
10 MB download is tons. I guess you never thought of what it costs DCCnet for their bandwidth. They have to pay for each and every MB that the subscribers use. If you are that much of a bandwidth pig then move up to a package that matches your usage. DCCnet offers a bargain by comparison to DSL - Below is a cut and paste from the Telus rates page.....to sum it up - if you want 7MB down and 3MB up (still less than DCCNET you will have to pay $15 a month more through Telus. And then you still have to deal with the horrible service that Telus puts out......
Here's the big laugh - Telus is not the incumbent player - DCCnet is. They launched their service years ahead of DSL. KEEP IT UP DELTA CABLE - YOU ARE DOING AN AWESOME JOB !!!!!

Telus package is as follows:

Limited time offer
Get your first 3 months of
TELUS enhanced high speed Internet service

Shaw Limits

Try reading the Shaw forum, I think you'll find they have limits and enforce them!
