Yea okay

Yea, 5mb download is great in theory but what server do you know that uploads at that speed? No mater what your download speed is, you are still bound to the upload speed of whatever server/site you are accessing. I switched from Comcast to SBC/DSL and have noticed any difference in playing online games, downloading from P2P sites or downloading updates. Comcast was way too expensive for what you get. I now have DSL and a phone line for half the cost of cable. Until everyone matches download and uplosd speeds, I'll stick to DSL. I also hate the FAN.

What server do I know uploads at 5mb you say? MOST OF THEM!

5mb is only 625kB/second. Most big servers like Microsoft Update will upload at that speed. You can have your dsl.

e-mail fix

I don't know much about linux but you can configure your outlook express to get your e-mail without opening your browser, "http://www.comcast.net/help/faq/index.jsp?faq=Hot117686" copy and paste that into your address bar. As for grounding your system that doesn't have anything to do with the performance of your system, the house ground is a 2nd ground anyways, the lines are grounded from the pole or the underground tap whichever you have.
