@Level3.net | $99 not a bargain Verizon is offering 3.0/768 for $45 per month. AceDSL is $99 per month. $99 is no way a bargain... even with static IP. Maybe if they set it at $50 per month.. then people would consider it.

| Re: $99 not a bargain Bargain is a relative term, the $45 price uses PPPoE, blocks port 80, has a TOS/AUP that doesn't allow servers. To get this with Verizon, you have to order a static IP business class package, which is priced at $129 a month. Last I checked, $99 is a lot cheaper. Read the whole review the next time. -- I love senselessly pushing things! | |

| Re: $99 not a bargain I'm well aware of the differences between AceDSL and Verizon. In my opinion and pretty sure others would agree $45 is a better price compared to $99.
Yes, Verizon "uses PPPoE, blocks port 80, has a TOS/AUP that doesn't allow servers". However, most users do not care about this. They merely want the internet to be fast, stable and cheap.

Most users likely do not use broadbandreports.com and IMHO people with specific needs and power users are more likely to come here for information.
This review was very helpful to me since I want static IP, no port blocks and no PPPoE. I had no idea Ace was offering this service until I read his review. Verizon is not an option for me for reasons stated in his post.

I have no idea why I'm wasting my time arguing with you, but whether you believe it or not (and probably not based on your obviosuly biased and factless comment), price isn't the only differentiator between ISPs. Compare apples to apples next time. -- I love senselessly pushing things!

| ACE disappointment OKAY, my account got disconnected about a month ago. I called Ace to figure out whats going on. I immediately got blasted by their tech support staff that my account has been disable due to DoS attacks to my ip address. I asked for any logs or anything they can give me to figure out whats going on as I have a basic setup (netgear wireless router, and laptop)... They cannot provide me any information .. no reasons given.. only that I and I quote "You pissed someone off and they did this to you" "these attacks are impacting other users" ..
Next I suggest why not switching my ip address and lets see what happened.... after an hour and a half of pleading they switched the ip address. One month later, my account is disconnected again.. spoke with Ace support... nothing they can do.. the account has been terminated due to DoS attacks...
Ace, I've been a loyal PAYING (high price for 3mb/768) customer for years. Something is going on with my network or yours, that need to be address and you choose not to even take a second look.. I'm disappointed in your support team handling of this situation... If my ip address is being targeted for whatever reason (virus on my machine, spyware, malware, etc. ) and your support staff, or network cannot support or handle or address the situation.. I think im better off switching to a company that can. Cable Vision 5mb/2mb for $29...
Whoever known of a network that cannot support or respond to DoS attacks which is very common on todays internet.
