Seem like someone messed you up good

Get them my friend! Annoy them until the problems is resolved...They say I'm 12K on RT which is BS... SBC have the most idiotic people working their that says what they wanna say without facts to back it up.
I've had expert from 2004 FEB. to 2005 FEB.
But in 2006 of Jan, wanted to go back to Expert... Says not available. My distance is bad.BAH. Speed is great, connection stability is wonderful! WTF is this they're giving me? A brush off to crap express that's for people who are 18K or more. F!23ASDFASDFASDFa asdfasdf I'm mad as hell. After 3 calls, in 3 days I was upgraded when I told them to check my account for previous upgrades and behold!
I was not lieing!!! They went right ahead with the upgrade but needed a tech to override the upgrade process.
If you had expert then downgraded, they're going fudge you up later cause it's only for privileged people. God damn.

Tell me about it, Most of the time for me it was when I had line issues they would bump me down. So I'd call and they'd bump me right back up. Now the past 2 times the RT does not want to accept the new speeds and its a pain in the arse to get them to put me back to the way I was.

(Not once were those problems an IW issue)

Do be sure to ask us for your full line stats - we can show you error seconds in each 15 minute interval for the past 8 hours, relative capacity percentage, signal to noise and lots of other good stuff. Relative capacity is real interesting. For example, if you're synced at 1.5Mbps and you're running at 30% of capacity, you could guess that you'd be able to get 3.0 to 4.0, but probably wouldn't get a full 6.0 on an upgrade to Enhanced. FYI!

Politics

I was wondering if our stand on the politics of deregulation would lose us any customers. (For those reading this, see »corp.sonic.net/ceo/2008/10/31/vote-obama/ )

I stand by my assertion that Internet access will be far more competitive and innovative with a democratic majority at in the FCC, in the administration, and in the legislature. If you want to move to another ISP because of my feelings about this, that's certainly your right.

To address another point you raised, Sonic.net is not affected by AT&T/Yahoo's move to cap usage on broadband, any more than we'd be affected by Comcast's choice to do so. What another retail ISP does with their policies isn't relevant here, even if it is the sister company of AT&T. FYI.
