cable internet....

Check to see who is providing your cable internet. If it is Adelphia (Adelphia is completely redoing their network in my town, thus finally providing cable internet) they offer a 3mbit download and 384kbps upload (compared to the 1.5/384 you have now).

the cable co is gmp communications.At the time the catv was one way,I must have phoned every 3 weeks the response was that they were upgrading the systemso i called in the middle of feburary.I proceed to ask questions on a completion date.Price,Speed packages that will be offered.The crs i spoke with must have been overwhelmed,because the csr said "let me transfer you to the internet dept." I ended getting transfered to baltimore.! Where the csr transfered me back to you ..guessed it to the same csr i had spoken to minutes ago.Right then and there i decided any company that gives the run around to a potential customer,just trying to get catv and hsi.Will be nothing but a headache.However somehow i did manage to hear that hsi is not available without the catv.I would need tv in order to get hsi..no stand alone hsi.. it must be bundled.thanks but no thanks.And nice to hear from you Ced06

The speed is great, of course more is always better but I'm content with what i have now. For a week or so i had slow speeds on my DSL. I thought maybe it was my computer. But after having run several test I called Epix. The next day it was fixed and my speed was back. This is the only instance i can remember where i had some difficulty. They have great customer support. They even helped me set up my LinkSys Wireless Router.
