| Vonage can be good... My experience with Vonage is that the service depends on many things.
Number portability takes a while. Mine was about 2 months but well worth it. I moved recently and my phone number normally would have changed but I got to keep it.
To do faxes, add this to the beginning of the number...

To reduce the baud rate add ",#3xx" (comma pound three xx stands for the port speed, the first two digits of the baud rate below).
* 96 = 9600
* 38 = 38,400
* 57 = 57,600
* 11 = 115,200

As far as the echo goes...
Try a different phone, vonage is a little more sensitive to bad phones.
The cause also can be wiring. If you just hooked it up to your inside wiring you can get an echo from poor wiring.
Voltage can also cause this. If you have some sort of leak this will cause an echo. |
