Comcast in Grand Rapids

I agree, I bought my cable internet service shortly before Excite@home screwed us all. After which, AT&T service was OK, maybe a 15 minute outage once a week. But it seems that things got 100% better the very first week after the AT&T-Comcast transition. In fact, with the exception of an ice storm, I have had no noticeable service outages for a long time (in fact, I had one yesterday morning, which was quite surprising).
