| Anon | T1 Speed for $50? What are you talking about? I don't live in the northeast and sure haven't used FASTNET, but I get 384kbps for $49.95, and that is standard on the west coast. You're not satisfied with a whopping 608kbps?? I thought the west coast was supposed to be pulling away from you on the DSL front, not the other way around. I'm jealous! | |

| Anon | FASTNET IS HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!! It took over 2 months to get the service installed and I pinged from 70 to 300 ms to the gateway, had packet loss and occasionally lost service. According to Fastnet and Covad, this was normal. I have since canceled my account and I'm fighting with Fastnet about the $300 termination fee. Maybe it's just my bad luck or the area I live in, but if you can, I'd recommend staying away from this company.

I would say after reading all the reviews that you are in the minority.

| While I am not discrediting your claims, but my experience with FastNet has been nothing but 5 stars service. I have never had any noticeable downtime. Customer service and technical support have been great. You can always get a hold of a live person within 5 rings. What more do you ask for? | |

| The only problem I have had with fast.net wasnt even fast.net's problem. I had some major problems with speed and pings on my line, and it turns out it was a bad RF signal from my cable line, as well as the line that my dsl uses was wrapped around a tree branch.
Right now I am getting a steady 110-120 ping and dl speeds vary from 30 - 180k/s.
I would love a lower ping, such as you can get from cable providers, but having a gateway so far away from you does limit that.
