That's Weird

I moved my service back in May. I dont recall getting charged 100 bucks, in fact they cancelled my contract so I was month to month and lowered my price from 29.95 to the 26.95 service. I didnt get stuck on another contract till I upgraded my service. The service call seems pretty bogus too since the modem was defective I'd at least try to get credit for that... though it will probably take them months to credit. I had to get a credit for when they double billed me for a jack repair back in April, they were supposed to call back and never did and just this last month thye credited my account out of the blue.

As for the Yahoo pages I have never had a problem or really noticed a difference. I would have your PC checked out for spyware or maybe some hyper-active internet program is causing a problem with some scripting. Download Mozilla and maybe it will work better on that.

2Wire Portals SUCK

the 2Wire portals are shit! they only work half the time and most of the time the firmware is out dated and they won't provide you with anymore.

I had the same thing with SBC in Ohio. Although my connection would just drop and after that i had to reboot the 2Wire shit..wait another 4 minutes for it to load the junk inside it and then it would work for another 3 days again.

I left. refuse to this day to pay for early termination fee. and went BACK RoadRunner, oh did i mention my service was $64.95 per month! and they tired to charge me $200 for install after i was told it was free when I signed up. SBC though did pay my entire 1 month phone bill. all $450 of it! including taxes!

yes 2wire suck i work for tier 2 and really dont recommend getting one.... netopia is a much better router

all of the ones i've had several of them having problems from Earthlink and SBC. all of them went to the shooting range with someone i know. they made good targets :p
