Faster than dsl?

I'm just curious as to how wireless is faster than dsl...
what are your actual speeds?

I'm getting 2796 down and 714 up with dsl.....I dont see how its faster than dsl..

Here are a few tests run over a ten minute period from one of the farthest points in the network and set to power user:

Last Result:
Download Speed: 3101 kbps (387.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 934 kbps (116.8 KB/sec transfer rate)

Last Result:
Download Speed: 3131 kbps (391.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 1018 kbps (127.3 KB/sec transfer rate

Last Result:
Download Speed: 3248 kbps (406 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 1023 kbps (127.9 KB/sec transfer rate)

This was tested using the older wireless equipment.
Some of our customers see in excess of 5Mb/3Mb on our network...I installed one today at 4.8Mb and 3.2Mb
But as in everything computer...your mileage may vary.
