| Hard to believe...... I have the 7000 line with them and can't get any faster than 3000 . Damn blue ridge cable blames PTD and they blame Blue ridge....customer sevice is a joke!!!! I am cancelling and going back to DSL . Yeah its slower but maybe I will be able use the computer everyday. Which is more than I can say now....its a 50/50 shot as to whether I will have service from one day to the nex. | |

| Re: Hard to believe...... I've had the same experience as you. At my peak I'm in the high 4's. Blue Ridge tells me its due to 'peak' hour usage, but I feel that's a pretty weak excuse. I've had other cable providers and I've never seen peak usage cause me to lose 3mbs worth of speed during those times. | |

Been using the service for 4 years with 4 computers and 2 teenagers in the house....
not once have I been warned or anything
I can look at my last 4 months of bandwidth on the website and I average about 250Gb a month ...I have been as high as 350..
so maybe its just in NJ they do it..they certainly are not known for it where I am | |

But I know people on blue ridge cable in PA who have had problems with PenTeledata writing them letter after letter and making all sorts of threats when the cap is exceeded. | |
