a little too eager?

I have to say that I think people should avoid posting reviews the first month of service - I mean there are easily issues with setup and stuff that have little to do with the provider and to give a company negative feedback so soon is unfair and also not helpful to prospective customers. Also, Galaxyvoice specifically states that they cannot guarantee that faxes will go through in their FAQ section.

At least give it a week....

Just my opinion

Re: a little too eager?

I have to disagree here. If I posted a review once and didn't update my finding as I go, this would have been a bad practice. I, however, come back and update on the progress and update the rating according to my experience.

So far Galaxyvoice has not been able to fix the incoming silense supression on my line. I've setup FWD on the second line on the same SIPURA 1001 they sent me and the quality of calls made to 1-800 number is much better, so this has to be something specific to Galaxyvoice.

Lingo doesn't gurantee Faxes, but those still work most of the time - I am just informing everybody that faxes are not working for me on Galaxyvoice. They should, actually, althought not as reliable - I think those do not come through due to the same general voice quality issues I am expriencing.

I have a genuine desire to switch to Glaaxyvoice, but so far, I am not ready due to quality.

Re: a little too eager?

Fair enough. I guess these things are tricky since everybody's individual experience varies. For me, I've had almost no problems at all wiith galaxyvoice. I guess I feel that if a beginner comes here and reads your initial impressions they might be completely disuaded from trying out the service, even if if it might work perfectly for them. After a few more weeks of use, you hopefully know what caused the problems you had in the beginning and can write it all up in one, more balanced, review. The internet is a confusing place to do this kind of research and I feel that we're (including myself) too quick to judge, even when the problem is really beyond the provider's control. I'm not saying that this is the case with you and galaxyvoice, just that there is a possibility. I didn't realize that they use Sipura - I thought they just use those grandstream boxes (?). Did they send you their configuration sheets for sipura? If not, please pm me your email and I can send you the detailed configuration sheets I got from them. Maybe it will help.

Just my opinion...

cheers,
