connection problems gone bye-bye!

Same here...we switched to 30/5 for $55 here in Ronkonkoma about 2 months ago, and its been solid as a rock...My speed hasn't changed once at anytime of the day(tests 29,900kbps/4,500kbps @ NYC/Washington Speakeasy, and New Jersey Test site), and all problems I had with my ping, webpages, ftp, and any other connection related problems I had while using OOL mysteriously disappeared....

I don't care if OOL offered me their boost service for half what FIOS is charging...I get exactly what I pay for(I was lucky to get 8,000kbps/800kbps on OOL), whenever I want it..I don't have to wait for everyone to get off my node so I can get full speed...No problems at all.

I actually thought I was having problems at first because I wouldn't even see the download progress window...That's because it was done so fast I never saw it downloading! (files under 3mb are like instantaneous)

Thank you FIOS! Finally I don't have to spend half my time trying to figure out why my connection is so slow...Now I just enjoy how fast it is!

Yeah I'll prob switch up to 30/5 soon, and thanks for the heads up on the Video -- glad that's in the works.

Any idea if Verizon plans to carry the new NY Mets station?

"I haven't ordered that package yet only because I haven't had a chance to actually call Verizon yet and inquire about it, but it's on my list of stuff to do."

If you have Verizon phone, you can go to your Verizon account and upgrade your service level there.

Reliability

I have to reset the FIOS box about every two weeks. It hangs up on my Linux machine if left on for long periods.
