| SBC yahoo drops off to zero I hope the attached graph speaks louder than the proverbial 1000 words. If you need to use VOIP or any web collaboration tools, the drop off kills you.
Regularly the internet connection both upload and download drops to zero.
Our office is on the maginificent mile in Chicago. This is zip codes 60611 and 60610. The first place we ping outside the office is adsl-68-72-127-254.dsl.chcgil.ameritech.net. When it is working the pings are in 6-10 ms. This is not a distance issue.
Marketed under "SBC Yahoo DSL" this miserable service has never worked, and repeated calls to "support" have led to nothing. I''ve read and used DSLreports over the years in various capacities and this is my first post. My avatar is a small screenshot of the bandwidth monitor regularly dropping to zero. If you need to use VOIP or web collabaration tools the service is worse than useless. We are being forced to relocate because their is no other real competitor who will service our smaller building. The cable companies want a minimum 100 units to wire in a downtown location.
