| Why bug abuse? There are rare cases in this world today where you need the assistance of an ISP's abuse team. Threatening emails, stalking, someone making your software available for download w/o paying you for it, etc. Sending in logs of port scans, pings, etc - isn't one of them.
If you own an Actiontec modem - it sends out a broadcast every so often looking for a reply from it's configuration software. It broadcasts on a high port... and that can be logged if you have a firewall connected to it.
