Newsgroups: I think I've said all I have to say here, 5Gb is worthless.

It's through giganews for newsgroups. You can always get more bandwidth via them.

Which is exactly what I've done, but my whole point was for 69.95$ a month the least I would expect (besides speed) would be a fairly decent usenet server.

Edit: That's why I mentioned Comcasts 2Gb, btw. They outsource to Giganews as well.

Rogers dumped their newsgroup service completely as are many ISPs.

So Adelphia users are lucky that they have the newsgroup option, just to let you know.

 Well it's obvious when you complain that 5gigs of data tranfer/month off newgroups isnt enough for you then your downloading more than group headers. I had adelphia for 5 yrs i would never go back to dsl. Newsgroups is a service they throw in with there package.Alot of isp's are dropping the service so you shouldnt really complain and just pay the extra from giganews if you need more.

I do pay extra for Giganews, as I said in a previous post. However, as a traditional internet user for more than 13 years (I don't know the exact date I started on BBS's, but a long time ago) it's standard to me for my ISP to also be my NNTP provider. Also, like I said, at the price I'm paying (which is a lot more than Cox) It should come with *at least* 50Gb, if not unlimited.
