| Completely Agree with Reviewer, Dialup is better I switched right after the FAP change back to dialup, even with the 26K speeds I normally get, it is better then HughesNet became. At least I can let downloads happen overnight on my 2nd phone line with a 56K router (hooked up to my wireless router). The Fapped speed is on HughesNet is worthless, 26K on dialup crushes it. | |

I would like to comment on the fact that it took me 45 minutes and 5 different phone numbers (all of which gave me a different number i already had) to cancel the order. Thank you!!! | |

I am getting a T1 installed here at the house in a few weeks. HN is gone, and we are throwing party!!!
I am so tired of throwing a hundred bucks out the window every month for what I now consider a dial up connection. That is when it works! Reboot the 7000 3-4 times a week, and wait an hour or more for everything to come on line.
Then watch everything stall to a snails pace after downloading my email! Even right now, I went over to the Detroit Freepress website, it took well over two minutes to download, and was still working when I just hit a link.
This is dial up speed!
I wish I could get cell, DSL or cable here. A T1 is my only solution at present. Sure it costs some coin, $500 a month. But it will be worth it in my book! | |

Paige, glad I saved you. What it took to cancel is not unusual either. Hughes was just ok, before their new FAP policy. Now you step just one byte over the line and they for all purposes turn off your internet. Wise choice. Sooner or later some other broadband will get to your place.
Glad I saved just one person.

| Hughes net customers may want to UPGRADE to dial up. No lie. It is slow as it is but when you get Fapped you can't even get a single page to load.
They told me I had UNLIMITED service.
Let me clarify what they meant by unlimited.
You have a connection and can connect. It does not mean anything will load or work or that you can even use their service. I like others, have had my computer off to find usage when I awake. Then they cut off my service and say I used too much.?????? STAY AWAY. If you have to call cust service you get irritable people who speak in a dialect you will never be able to understand.
I am here only because there is no other choice but dial up IS faster is you are fapped. You can't even log on to pay a bill or respond to a client site.
If you have dial up and are looking for better with Hughes NET..you will be wasting $79 a month for what you ALREADY have.
It was decent until they started all this FAP stuff.
First person that calls me saying they have DSL ( and I am on many a list) I AM GONE. They also change policies AFTER you sign their agreement. HUGHES NET on a scale of 1-10with 10 being the best,gets my whopping 1. P>S> No one will tell you about their usage plan either. They convieniently skip that. | |

I junked the hughes system .. I didnt want to unload that stuff on anyone .. I will never use that service again .. | |
