sirhailstone join:2001-12-01 Indianapolis, IN	Wireless in NYC Please let us know how it works. Out of curiousity how high up are you on the King Kong? You have the antenna sitting in the window or just on a desk inside? Did they tell you where the transmitter is located?

We are located on the 55th Floor (80 Floors are allocated to office space).

The antennas were mounted inside of a window sill, right above the dropped ceiling (so you cant see it).
I believe the tech said the transmitter we are using is on the AT&T building in Lower Manhattan, although they have several base stations. There is one ON the Empire State Building as well.

2MBS installed then Cancelled

Apparently Towerstream is having a problem with congestion we were on 39th st pointing directly to ESB but couldn't get past 80kbs downloads. Problem is towerstream does there tests and they can connect to there box at 2MBS but in a real world situation you go to other sites to upload and download content. We are a Media hose and the problems outweighed the benefits so we are back to having a tried and true Dedicated T1

. Maybe when they get there act together. It will be better for all. Even when the tech came back to collect the equipment he said it didn't suprise him about the congestion
