PPPoE

I am surprised you have PPPoE over in Fayetteville. I have had FIOS for two weeks now here in Camillus and definitely have DHCP. The IP address has been unchanged since installation.

Re: PPPoE

I had read in these forums that new installs were getting DHCP while older installs were remaining at PPPoE.

I suspect that converting older installs to DHCP might place too great a demand on their support techs at this time, hence the reason it hasn't happened yet. If I have some time, I may give it a try myself by switching the D-Link router's configuration.
