| | Anon | Nebraska ISP's are a load of crap Its not just you, all of Nebraska is oversold. Its disheartening to learn that even in Lincoln its that bad, because i live in Gothenburg, and i subscribe to cable Internet access from Internet USA. Ping times for games are horrid all hours, and only approach playable at around 3-4 am. Download speed is acceptable, daytime 20-50KB/sec and night time 100KB/sec. I too noticed the faster average ping on my dial up isp, Navix/Alltel. I believe the reason for this is the great number of analog switches we have to deal with. | |

| INTERNET NEBRAKSA SUX ! Well i have to agree i nebraska is with out the doubt the worst provider i have ever had.And i am on dial up.I called about dsl and laughed when they told me the prices.I told them my last provider was 25 bux for 1.5 megs download and upload.I emailed them about another user id , they said extra 26 a year.I was like fuck that, go check your competition out see what they offer.And i am always getting these notices about to much time on my umlimited plan?????? fuckin inbreds must be running that place or some thing.PS all u i nerbaska sucker, there is a way to make your speed go faster withh out paying those high prices for tiered service.I asked and they said it was fine if i could do it.Alll you have to do is get a program to set your own properties for the modem configuration file when it is downloaded when you plug it in.You then can change the properties of your speed, and get fast and i do mean faster sppeds with out paying there outragoues amounts.Call them if need be and say you want to set your own modem configuration file.It took me an half an hour to get an answer form them on the phone. | |
