Cable TV of East Alabama

In Phenix City, this company is locked in with the city commission(typical good old boy politics) and the local government will not allow any other company to come into the area. Maybe, ten or so years ago, a rival company wanted to offer cable services and the city council denied their request.

We gave up local cable about 12 or so years ago, because we depised this company. We are Direct TV customers and get local channels through an antenna. We were fortunate enough to get Bellsouth DSL (after posting on this board and finding our local network manager, who arranged it).

This company has local consumers in a chokehold and they know it.

I thought It was just me!! I recently moved to P.C. and I am getting ready to move again. It,s a travesty when your the only service in a whole big ole city, they feel a sense of pride with thier ridiculous prices and lacking attitude.
They talk to customers like they are scum, and get away with it. Someone needs to finally put a stop to it but unfortunately it works for thier pockets, so in other words they tell us to put a sock in it!!
How many movies can I rent? I have seen almost every one in video warehouse so far!! And they are still cheaper than cable here. Things that make you go !!!
