| Good for you I came from the dark side (WB) and could not be happier. No longer care about weather, or time of day. Its been several months now and I have no complaints! I use the 720usb modem to my main desktop, and then wifi out to the rest of our computers. I also don't have to worry about a "FAP." Hard to believe a little EVDO card/modem, replaced the dish, cables, and modem of Satellite. | |

| Agreed - Millenicom rocks
I too live in the boonies in Virginia. I live in Glenns, right in Saluda. I was using Verizon's broadband access and speeds were not atrocious, but I was very perturbed by their cap of 5gb. It didn't matter much at the time, because I was still on evdo rev. 0 speeds due to my motorola v3m as my modem, but I found out that there were no vista drivers for this phone once I upgraded everything in my comp. I just "had" to have DirectX 10.
Anyways, I too ordered from Millenicom which uses Sprint's wireless network. I love the Franklin modem, and I've got great coverage and enjoy the low latency. I actually can game "realistically" online now. I'm thinking of ordering Xbox Live, I'm so optimistic. I experience downloads of around 700-800 kbps and uploades typically around 350 kbps with a latency of around 200 ms. This is to some server out in California, lol on speedtest.net. I'm very pleased. | |

| Mobile Broadband Jim, I live in Dutton, near the Get-N-Zip and have had Wild Blue because nothing else was available. Is the actual D/L faster than WB and is the latency less? I have been ready to get rid of WB but nothing else was available. When did Sprint finally put in some closer towers in Mathews? Thanks | |

| Re: Mobile Broadband Jim, Is the D/L faster since you do not have the latency issue that comes with Wild Blue? I have Wild Blue's premium service and I have never achieve 1500 / sec. It's more like 160 - 250. How does the down loads compare between the two? I download from itune frequently and would hope sprint would give me a better D/L experience. | |
