| Majicjack My MJ arrived yesterday; however, I'm still not sure how to use it. Appreciate your help. Question: From reading your post, it seems like if I want to use Mj away from my home,I will need to take my notebook with me, is that right? Or, can I plug MJ into any computer? Also, I have Voice Over Internet Protocol(VOIP). Will Mj work with VOIP? | |

| Re: Majicjack The MJ will work on any computer with a USB connection. This computer would need to be on a broadband connection.
So while I take my laptop with me places along with my MJ, could could just take the MJ with you if you had access to a computer where you were going. You would plug the MJ in, and after a small software installation, you'd be on your way.
Now, you said you have VoIP for your phones. That's great, and it won't be affected by the MJ at all. The MJ itself is VoIP, and will work on your machine completely independent of your current VoIP phone system.
For example, right now, we have 3 Vonage lines (VoIP) and this one MJ line. All works great. -- And so castles made of sand, slip into the sea, eventually.

I have my Magicjack #. Then I have my Vonage lines, seperate from Magicjack and both can coexist peacefully and independently. -- And so castles made of sand, slip into the sea, eventually.

Magicjack will not interfere with your current phone service from Verizon. Magicjack has not messed up my computer in any way. It works quite well. It's pretty much "plug and play".
Again, I don't think it's ready to replace land-lines yet, but it is a nice ("cute") application that can compliment any home. -- And so castles made of sand, slip into the sea, eventually.
