| Re: Why pay $79.95 while one can get $39.95???
I've had Earthlink/Mindspring since May, but I'm still paying $49.95 per month. I saw other mentions of the lower price, but didn't see it on their web site. I recommended Earthlink to my daughter in Richmond and she is having it installed soon. How can we get in on the lower price? My choice also was between CapuNet and Mindspring and I went for the higher speed at the lower price.

| Capunet is higher $$$. But I was paying $60/month for 128K ISDN, so the extra 19$ for 10 times the speed seemed OK.
Would I like $40/month... you bet. But my line hasn't dropped once in 6 months and the speeds are consistently high. I'm willing to pay for that reliability and good support. Eventually when the other providers get their acts togehter and start providing equally good service for $39, Capunet will have to lower their price. When I'm ready to renew my service, I'll press them for a lower rate anyway and see what happens.
