cost of equipment?

Hello,

I too am interested in buying the hardware. How much did they charge for the gear, if you don't mind my asking?

To be honest, I don't recall exactly. I'm thinking it was in the area of $1200. But they've changed the hardware they use now (I was one of the early ones), so it may be cheaper.
Generally, buying won't be cheaper than renting, just spread out over 3 years. And you're locked into the contract.
If it's an option, make sure you check out Xplornet. There are caveats with them too, but it's worth researching.
