| Four Options? meh... Your options might be slimmer than you think, and maybe there's an option you're leaving out:
1) I don't call satellite broadband. It's...satellite. Better than dialup if you're downloading or uploading large files, that's all.
2) Xanadoo...I *guess* they're a choice, though all plans have a 10GB per month cap. Then again, 128k for $15 a month with a 10GB cap is better than $10-a-month dialup, right?
3) Got high-speed Sprint in your area? Millenicom (see reviews here) gets you the Sprint network for $60 a month, no limits, though you have to bring in your own modem. Speeds aren't that great though, compared with terrestrial internet...700-1500k usually.
SO yeah, cable is likely still fastest and best in your neighborhood, despite it being powered by Comcrap. At least U-Verse will be there soon to give 'em some real competition... |
