| Without Bell Teksavvy could do more by building out its own network using their own equipment. The thing is they DO NOT want to. They'd rather make their customers still use the Bell network and pass everything on to them. It's cheaper for them now and in the future. Why they don't really maintain anything.
If Teksavvy wanted to compete against bell they would build out their own wireless network using MOT Canopy.

| Re: Without Bell Huh? This isn't as simple as turning on a light-bulb.... Licences have to be requested before placing equipment in Central offices or setting up wireless networks. Customers currently are all on wireline so to do the wireless would be of no benefit to them. If you were informed you would have noticed we have taken steps to getting our own equipment in COs and to boot, we've also taken much of our income to fight the issues we're currently faced with, slowing us down some on placing equipment in COs...
So, we're not standing still, but we still have to service and deal with the current situation and clients. -- TSI Rocky - TekSavvy Solutions Inc.

| Re: Without Bell Your "licenses" do not apply to unlicensed frequencies that products such as Canopy uses. You have a lot of Wireless Internet providers up there so you can't say they have to pay to access the airwaves, and you can't tell me that Linksys pays to use them as well.
Yes standing still is NOT building out fully building out your own network- ie: the last mile. Instead you rely on the Government to force Bell to do it for you. Just because you pay to Co-lo equipment does not mean you're doing everything that you could it just means you have equipment somewhere that you own.
Also maybe new customers that are trying to get away from Bell would like to get fully away from them and not support them in anyway- like they do with you.

2 edits | Hottboiinnc, you obviously have no clue of the way things work up here. We have things here called monopolies - you might have heard of them - and being the (large) incumbents, they will fight tooth, claw, and nail politically, and any other way they can, to make damned certain they not only remain #1, but they are the ONLY one.
Much easier down south of the border.
And presently, since they own the "last mile" to your residence, choices are limited.

| Re: Without Bell Wireless is not limited to monopolies. Get Moto Canopy and get rid of the issue.
Again- ISPs in Canada just doesn't wanna do anything except be allowed to piggy back on another providers network. The UNE deals run out and so will Teksavvy. You can only piggy back by rules and laws for so long. Then you get what you have here- Cable and DSL unless someone else builds out using their OWN last mile network. Teksavvy will be the next Earthink if they don't, mark my words for it.

| It's funny how Teksavvy, despite piggy-backing off Bell, has something like a 98% positive rating.
While "hottboi"'s service has a rating 50%. Does anyone really take this guy seriously? If you provide such incredibly sh***y service to your own customers, who the heck would trust their business decisions with you??
