| Very Slow Install and Abusive Contract Renewal
We are presently leaving Megapath after about 2+ years. When we originally installed it took about 4 months due to E911 issues (they claimed). When the install did happen they assigned us telephone numbers from the wrong rate center and swore they were correct. They finally realized it was a problem with their vendor (after a lot of persistent assertions on our part). Merely adding an 800 number caused us to have to renew our contract for a period of one year with a pretty stiff cancellation penalty (50% of remaining contract). At this rate you would have to make no changes to your contract for a year just to get out.
Service was pretty good but customer service was not. Never got solid answers to amounts on our bill that we questioned.  |
