[ Extreme] Overusage Reminder Banners while you surf now?!

Looks like Rogers has possibly partnered with some sites, in this case the weathernetwork.com or they've found a way to "pop-up" in your browser.
Now while your casually surfing the net, we'll be subjected to this "reminder".
When will it end.
Using Firefox,

I looked at the link and can't figure it out. I called Rogers and they can't figure it out... I even created a new email account and tried that and its still broken.

Has anyone run into this before?

Thanks

Will I get charged for overuse fees during this period?

May 14 - June 14.

They say they won't charging until my June term, so I'm guessing they mean when my term starts in June, not while an existing term takes place during June. But you never know Rogers. So can someone tell me if I'll get charged for overuse during May 14th - June 14th
This is probably my last chance to boost up my seeding ratios. I'm also wondering why the overuse charges do not stop at $25 like they said?

Can anyone sign in a check the usage tool?

I haven't done it before, and I'm trying right now, but for some reason it won't allow me to and keeps popping me back to the screen that says: "Your previous sign in has timed out! Please sign in again and return to the page that you were on."

I hate the idea that I'm capped, now I can't even see what level I'm at.

The page I'm going to is one:

[ Extreme] Robbers Throttling Newsgroups Now?

I have been using newsgroups for about the past year since bittorrent has gone down the shitter, well I was trying to download some files the other day when all of a sudden my speed dropped down to about 50 kb/s downloading.
Rogers DNS pooched again

I wonder if this is a localized problem or if many others are seeing it ... occasional DNS requests take a long time to resolve, like ten seconds or more, even to very common sites like Google. Most are perfectly fast, it's like around every 10th lookup or so it really bogs down. Have been noticing it for a few days now. I suppose I could switch to one of the public DNS's for a while. I seem to recall there were a lot of complaints about Rogers DNS performance at one time when it was acting much the same way. Anyone else seeing this right now?

[ Extreme] Upgrade to Extreme Plus - is it worth it?

Currently my service level is Extreme.

I am thinking about upgrading to Extreme Plus. The download speed advertised is almost twice the speed I am using now.

The questions are, is it worth it? Do you actually see a difference in the download times?

Is it worth the money since upgrading would cost twice as much? Would I have to switch modems? Any other hardware?

Thanks!

Speeds Extreme Plus

Is there any way to test SNR or general line quality with Rogers?

Something similar to DMT maybe?

Off general web pages I can get 250 kb/s (Microsoft). I was able to get it up to 800 kb/s with 8 connections to Usenet.

Though thats half of what its suppose to be.

Pings seem stable and theres no packet loss.

I suspect that Rogers is also doing DPI for the same reasons that Bell is.
