Upgrade Video Card For New Monitor question

I have been using a 15" LCD monitor/TV for a long time and have a 20" S-IPS monitor,1680x1050, on the way and want better video response. I use the machine for browsing, office apps and a photo editing, no games. Always a little slow to redraw and leaves a grey box on the screen when I close a box in front of a window. I want a better video card with DVI for the new monitor but I don't know what.
I have a quiet desktop PC and want to keep it that way. Intel MB with a 1.2g Tualatin processor, 4X AGP, Antec SL350s power supply and a GEForce4 MX4000 64mb video card.
Do I just need a video card with more memory ?
