Anonymous message board users

First off I know that the site gives me the opportunity to adjust my settings to not have their posts show up. So no need to cover that.

What I'm curious about is where do they come from and how exactly step by step do they post to this site?

All forums I've belonged to or still belong to except this one doesn't permit anonymous message board users. So it is a relatively speaking somewhat of a new thing for me.

All forums I've ever posted in required a membership and signup with a designated member or user name.

Explain it to me. Tell it slow and tell it twice. :)

Speed test question

Why is the speed test on this site so much lower than on others? Not a big deal, just curious. I tested on Speakeasy and speedtest.net, and both show 20mb. This site shows 10.

Thanks for any feedback.

Review Update Seemed to cause Error

Hello!

I went to update a review I did about Phone Power and afterwards the review seemes to have created an error on the page. I didn't use any code or attach any files. This is my third update so, maybe the text is too long?

I still see the text when i go into edit mode but, when I try to view the page, the space where the review goes displays this:

HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Sat, 04 Feb 2012 01:23:45 GMT Server: Apache/1.3.37 (Unix) mod_perl/1.29 Location: http://i.dslr.net/errpage.html Connection: close Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1 OK
The document has moved here.

Here is the link to my review:

Thank you for your help!

Seems the Kansas City line monitoring server is broken.

It seems that as of yesterday evening, the Kansas City Line Monitor server is no longer reporting valid data. I'm looking at my line monitor which is a part of the Verizon DSL group. Here's an example of what I see attached. The east coast server is flatlined at one value. The West coast server actually shows my true latency. The CSV file has no data from today for the East coast server.

Smokeping problem?

Since shortly after 2 a.m. Eastern time this morning (February 1), the report from a smokeping test I'm running has shown total absence of the connection from NY although the other two (CA1 and KS) continue normally. Is there a problem at the NY end, or has some intermediate router stopped the action?

Also, is anything supposed to happen when I click the "extend" link on the main smokeping page to make this test run for a longer time than I originally requested? I would expect it to ask me "for how long?" or something similar, but the page does not change and nothing pops up. I'm using FireFox 9.0.1 as distributed via Ubuntu's automatic updates...

Hello,
I've tried a few locations in the Flash speed tests and Chicago freezes every time with a pop up error box saying something to the effect that "This movie is not responding, if you continue your machine may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort this script?" I abort 1 to 4 of those at a time. Other locations are freezing as well.
